Educational matters related to violence prevention education

(Education time and field) Under the responsibility of the head of each organization, education on prevention of sexual harassment, prostitution, sexual violence, and domestic violence must be provided once a year for at least 1 hour and can be integrated from the perspective of gender equality.

  • Integrated education contents include sexual harassment, prostitution, sexual violence, and domestic violence prevention education, as well as new forms of sexual violence such as gender-based dating violence and online violence.
  • Integrated education hours are the same (more than 4 hours per year for public institution employees)

 

(Education target) A person belonging to an institution

  • All employees, including the head of the institution
    * Resident personnel and service staff dispatched from outside
    * Includes all high-ranking positions, new employees, temporary workers, etc.

 

(Education period) January 1st ~ December 31st of the relevant year.

 

(Teaching method) A variety of methods are implemented to suit the characteristics of the institution, including professional instructors and general instructors registered and appointed by the Korea Gender Equality Education Promotion Agency, cyber education, audio-visual education, and lectures by internal staff. Small group education recommended for effective education

 

(Performance submission) Submit through the prevention education integrated management system (shp.mogef.go.kr) by the end of February of the following year.

 

(Open) Any member of the public can check the progress of preventive education by institution through the preventive education integrated management system.

  • Open items : (By education) Whether an annual basic plan for preventive education is established, whether the head of the organization participates in education, participation rate of high-ranking officials, employee participation rate, participation rate in education for new employees and non-regular workers, education method, whether separate education is provided for high-ranking officials, etc.
  • Time period : Held simultaneously with the report (cabinet meeting) and media announcement of the results of the violence prevention education performance inspection for the year (around July – October)
  • Media announcement method : Announced by posting on the Internet homepage or general daily newspaper, etc.
